Rebecca Zanetti Guest Post and Giveaway!

BIO:  Rebecca Zanetti is a college professor by day and romance author by night.  Currently she’s busy writing the sexy Dark Protector Series from Kensington Brava, which has received excellent reviews. The second book, CLAIMED, is available for pre-order now. To find Rebecca on the web, drop by her website: http://rebeccazanetti.com/

Hi.  My name is Dage Kayrs and Trini asked me to guest blog today on Book Lover’s Review.  I’m the main character in CLAIMED, which is the second book in Rebecca Zanetti’s Dark Protector Series from Kensington Brava.
I’m the king of the vampire world and the eldest of five brothers.  Ruling and dealing with family at the same time is often a challenge.  But, it’s my job, so I try to balance.  It helps that I’ve found my mate, Emma Paulsen.  Well, sometimes it helps.  Sometimes she’s a pain in the…er…neck.
Emma is a geneticist and quite possibly the smartest woman alive.  My woman has brains, a fact that just intrigues me.  She’s also stubborn as hell.  Not that we butt heads much.  Okay, sometimes we butt heads.  But only when she wants to do something dangerous, usually in the name of science, and I, ah, try to talk her out of it.
To say I try to talk her out of it might be a bit of a misnomer.  I am the king, after all, and quite used to giving orders.
Emma doesn’t take orders well.
Right now my people are at war with an evil race of vampires called the Kurjans.  The Kurjans have created a virus that destroys our mates…a fact that has me concerned and furious.  While I’m the king and diplomacy is my job, I’m also a soldier and keeping a clear head is becoming difficult.
Someone is after my mate, and I have to take them down.
I will.
So, you might want to read FATED, which is the first book in the series.  I think Rebecca is giving away a signed copy to a commenter on this blog.  Please leave a comment.  Is your family a challenge sometimes?  Do they know how to push your buttons?  (I have four brothers—they push!)

  1. I think family is supposed to push buttons. My sister does it and my husband and kids do it all the time. Especially the 7 year old he pushes everyones buttons he enjoys getting everyone mad. I can't wait for Claimed. I think Emma is going to push every button imaginable. lol

  2. Yes my family pushes my button. My husband and son and my parents but I am sure that is the way it is suppose to be. It would be pretty boring if everyone got along all the time and never fought. Please enter me in contest. I love reading about vampires. Tore923@aol.com

  3. Oh does my family know how to push my buttons! I have 5 sisters and 2 brothers, so yeah I think we've all learned how to push each others buttons. This is why I read... to escape all of them:) Thanks for the giveaway!

  4. My family is very much a challenge, I am the middle child of of three. I am the second daughter. Me and my older sister are total opposites and have never really gotten along. Being that my parents believe my sister hung the moon and aligned the planets, it was not easy growing up in my house. My younger brother tried to stay nuetral growing up, but knew it was smarter to side with our sister. (can't blame him) Now as adults he is my rock and anchor in the stroms that surround the drama that is my sister. But me being me and not them I have survived and will continue to do so.

  5. I would love to read Fated!
I think all families are a challenge including mine but in a god way. It's the clash of dynamics and healthy competition. We learn a lot from each other and share a lot of love. No matter what we have each other's backs.

  6. I love my family to little bits n pieces! There's no1 that can come close to family. Of course we have our disagreements every one in a while, any normal ppl would but the great thing about family is that we get over it quickly (or not THAT quickly for some of us!) & there's never a grudge held. We know no matter what that we're there for each other.

  7. Now that is a loaded question. It's family. Of course they push buttons. I believe that is their sole purpose at times because there are definitely those days. UGH! But we love them so we deal and the good days out weight the "button-pushing" days. :) Congratulations on the upcoming release of Claimed!

  8. Dage sounds intriguing, and like he would be very good in....diplomacy.=) I like that he is afraid for his mate.
I have a two year old daughter who my husband and I love dearly, but as the first born she knows how to work things to her advantage and has quiet the temper. So some days when I am tired I need a little break and my husband will hang with the kids whial I have a little break (usually in the company of a good book!).
This series sounds good, hope it does well!

  14. Family i think is the only one that can get away with pushing your buttons.

  15. Lord, do that ever! I'm the eldest child with 2 younger brothers so I'm always saddled with a lot of responsibility. Plus my dad is what you call a "teaser" he teases and pushes your buttons non stop and unfortunately this is something that my brothers have had passed down to them. They're exactly the same and no ones safe....me, my mum...even our poor dog!

    Thanks for the fantastic giveaway!
