Hey guys! So I'm here in New York attending BEA and I just wanted to share a little of this exciting experience with you. I've had a fabulous time so far. I have been meeting new people, seeing some exciting new places plus spending time with a good friend and many passionate bloggers.
This is my first year here and I can say without a doubt that it's well worth all the cost and planning pain. So let's get to the fun stuff.
I have collected a good number of ARCs and met the most fabulous and talented authors. Here are some pictures.
If you don't know who this is you should be a shamed of your self! No I'm just kidding! This is the one and only Melissa Marr...LOVE HER!! She is so cool and smooth it's always a pleasure meeting her.

As you can see I met so many great authors and they were are super nice.
Here is a little run down of how the expo works. Each publishing house has their own booth. In these booths they hand out books and ARCs to attendees. ARC's are free and most times books are $5-$10 if they are not free. It's totally worth it!
They also have book signings at the booths but there is also a designated book signing area in the back not connected to any publisher where there are multiple signings going on at once. Needless to say these lines are long.
The good thing is there are schedules for all these activities and you can make a plan of action. Even though we did make a plan there was just no way to make every signing and book drop. You have to prioritize.
BEA Parties! I was invited to the Rooftop Party hosted by Andye and Amy from Reading Teen, Jeremy from Novel Thoughts, and Liza from WhoRuBlog. I had so much fun. I not only got to meet the authors but I got to talk to them about their books. There was great food, awesome prizes, and fun games.
NewYork was awesome! We did a LOT of walking. Make sure to bring your walking shoes if you ever decided to come. We visited lots of place and event went to a show!
Over all this was an amazing experience and I hope to come back every year!
