Blog Tour & Giveaway Information.
ebook, 190 pages
Published June 28th 2012 by Entangled Publishing (Ever After)
Before Tessa met Royal Andreas, her bookstore was on the verge of sinking. And before Tessa met Royal Andreas, she didn't mind being single. But Royal brings in business with monthly wine tastings featuring his family's signature vintages--and brings Tessa's heart to a standstill with intense gray eyes that look on her with nothing but cool indifference.

Yet one searing kiss between the stacks gives Tessa a glimpse of the passion smoldering beneath--and a secret pain further revealed when Royal fills in as the musician at a tasting event. Every note of Spanish guitar tells a story of family tragedy, loss, and ongoing suffering that's made Royal afraid to lean on anyone...even if he needs Tessa's sweet flavor more than the richest wine. Only her strength can save him when his world crumbles to ashes. But has Royal learned trust too late to claim Tessa as his own?--Goodreads

My POV

Love! Seduction! Romance! Ashes and Wine was a sensational read which combined two of my favorite thing in the whole wide world within the story, books and wine. This initially pulled me into the story right away. Then the development of well-rounded believable characters with relatable situations concerning responsibilities and the pursuit of happiness kept my eyes glued to the pages.
Tessa is our main female character and she’s not looking for love but happens upon it one fated evening at a winery that is run by the Andeas’ family. What seems like a promising starts of a romantic relationship ends before it really begins with Royal Andreas. Too busy with running her bookstore she fine solace in seeing Royal once a month at the wine tasting events that brings in good business.
“Responsibility and loyalty were bread into the roots of the Andreas family, and flowed into the grapes that bore the wine.” Royal has never had a choice in whether to assume responsibility over the family business. It has been ingrained in his character since birth by his father.  There isn’t room for anything else, not even love. Putting his life on hold to fulfill his responsibility he has decided that a relationship with Tessa is not really a good idea. He’s scared to get emotionally involved with anyone especially romantically. He just doesn’t have room on his plate for something like that but sometimes love can’t be ignored. Some loves won’t be tamed or pushed under the rug. And sometimes the best thing to do is just accept it even if it’s the hardest thing in the world to do.
The importance of companionship, love and understanding is extremely evident in this story. These are the stories that give us hope and inspire us to do what is in your heart. I enjoyed this book and would love to see more of what happens next for them and other characters. I really want to see what happens to Royal and Tessa’s brothers. I’m crossing my fingers that I get to see more. Oh and how dare I almost forget to mention the drunk dialing scene. It had me rolling on the bed. Seriously! I called up a friend just to read her that part. Super hilarious!

Quote
"All I could thin about was seeing you again. I wanted to hear you laugh and see if you kissed like you were full of sunshine." His smile faded. "So, yeah. I wanted you."

"Look.".."Love is a pain in the ass, but if you want to ignore it..well, I cant' blame you..."
"But the more you ignore it, the more it'll bug you."..."And sometimes we can ignore it into not existing, but then you get a big farmhouse with pretty furniture and no sex."
***
"I was so stupid, Tessa. I couldn't see my way past the pain and responsibilities. I didn't think I deserved you. Hell, I still don't."
