THE WALKING DEAD BLOGNATION: Character Spotlight LORI GRIMES + GIVEAWAY!

This is a tribute to an extraordinary character. Lori Grimes. Every lose is extremely hard on the group but I feel yours will be the most devastating so far. From the very first season Lori Grimes oozed strength, determination, and protectiveness. She was a survivor! These are all great traits to have when the Zombie Apocalypse strikes but she also "suffered" from stubbornness and lack of faith at times. I mean I understood about the lack of faith because who wouldn't lose faith when the world as you've ever known it has now turned into one ginormous survival obstacle course? But as a mother there are just some things you just don't do but by the end she redeemed herself completely.

Lori is a wife, mother, and the glue that kept the group together. She has always fought to bring normality and stability for her fellow survivors. This was all admirable and exactly what the group needed. But, as a fan I both hated and loved her for many different things over all three seasons. Depending on the episode. She had to make some tough choices but at the end of the second season she turned into a person that she herself fought against. Blaming Rick for things not under his control and for the protecting the people he loves and now sees as his family.

None the less she was a fascinating character. One that I will wholeheartedly missed. You have left so much behind who knows if this group will ever feel whole again.

  1. I love this show. I admit she wasn't my favorite character, I think they could have done so much more with her. I will very much miss her on the show.

  2. I haven't had AMC for a while now not by choice either. *sigh* So I'm having to play catch up with this show right now.

  3. Season 3 is the best season by far. I have to say that I was rather glad when Lori died because I was getting sick to death of all her complaining and how nothing anyone did was good enough. Most of my friends cried when they saw the episode, but let out a sigh of relief that I don't have to put up with her crap anymore.
