With The Walking Dead #1-48, this compendium features more than one thousand pages chronicling the start of Robert Kirkman's Eisner Award-winning story of zombie horror, from Rick Grimes waking up alone in a hospital, his band of survivors seeking refuge on an isolated farm and the controversial introduction of Woodbury despot, The Governor.--Information provided by Goodreads
Here are some pictures of my copy of the Compendium One
This baby is 10lbs of awesomeness..yes it's that heavy but it's so freaking cool. I have never appreciate the detail and artistic talent that goes into comics until reading this compendium.

I found my love of this series through the TV show and in comparing the compendium to the show I have to say there are differences. I was warned before hand by a friend about this. It wasn't a big deal and in fact after reading most of the book I feel like I'm in on the secrets or like I've got exclusive behind the scenes info. It's pretty exciting!

The pricing varies but my hubby bought mine for $40 at Walmart. It might seem expensive but look at the individual prices this monstrosity is worth

  1. I might have to read this. I finally started watching the show and it's sucking me in!

  2. I'm an audiobook junkie (listen to 3 books to 4 a week) I wonder if would like this on audio. I love the show, but I'm afraid to ruin it by reading/listening to the books.... Once I read a book I'm never satisfied by the small or big screen's depiction.....
But than again, the audio could get me through til FEB :)
    Thanks for the chance :)
