My POV 

This was a wam bam thank you ma’am kind of book. The reason I say that is.. it was short, fast, and oh so good! But it was also heartwarming, sexy, and fun!

Cade is 22 years old and is the sole guardian of his 5 year old sister (Lily) that has been diagnosed with a crippling disease. He has grown up in a hard life which has made him fiercely determine and extremely independent. But one wonderful thing that has come from his situation (taking care of his sickly sister) is that he has not lost his ability to love and show compassion.

Alexa is a ER nurse who comes from a very wealthy family. Although she knows her family (mostly her mother) has expectations for her to marry into an equally wealthy family she is determine to be independent and do something she loves. The one thing that they all don’t expect is for her to fall for the bad boy porn star who ends up in the emergency room in which she is working.

These two are a very unlikely couple but can’t seem to fight the strong attractions between themselves. After a happen chance meeting at a club (after their initial ER meeting) they can’t seem to get enough of each other. Once Alexa meets Lily she sees a side of Cade’s life that not everyone sees, one full of love compassion and tenderness. She under stands how hard his situation is with Lily’s medical bills piling up with no other family to help out but she doesn’t like the line of work he has chosen to help out financially. These two have a lot to work through to have a happy relationship.

Cade and Alexa have great chemistry from beginning to end. The way they both take care of Lily is more than admirable and speaks volumes for there character. The ending was perfect but I wanted to see much more of this story since I loved it so much. I look forward to reading more of Kendall’s books!
