Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren
ebook, 320 pages
Expected publication: February 12th 2013 by Gallery Books
An ambitious intern. A perfectionist executive. And a whole lot of name calling. Discover the story that garnered more than two million reads online.

Whip-smart, hardworking, and on her way to an MBA, Chloe Mills has only one problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. He’s exacting, blunt, inconsiderate—and completely irresistible. A Beautiful Bastard.

Bennett has returned to Chicago from France to take a vital role in his family’s massive media business. He never expected that the assistant who’d been helping him from abroad was the gorgeous, innocently provocative—completely infuriating—creature he now has to see every day. Despite the rumors, he’s never been one for a workplace hookup. But Chloe’s so tempting he’s willing to bend the rules—or outright smash them—if it means he can have her. All over the office.

As their appetites for one another increase to a breaking point, Bennett and Chloe must decide exactly what they’re willing to lose in order to win each other. Originally only available online as The Office by tby789—and garnering over two million reads on fan fiction sites—Beautiful Bastard has been extensively updated for re-release.

My POV
“Good doesn’t even come close to describing it, Julia. Phenomenal, intense, mind-blowing, multipleorgasmingly amazing doesn’t come close to describing it.” With this line Chloe is talking about a certain someone but I couldn’t help use this exact same line to describe how good Beautiful Bastard is.

Chloe is an intern for Ryan Media under the direction of Bennett Ryan. Their relationship can be summed up with this famous saying..”There is a thin line between love and hate.” These two have the most passionate connection I’ve seen in a while. Whether it’s bickering with each other or having sex.
The emotional battles of each of these characters who are trying to fight how they truly feel is cleverly written and amazing to see. It’s nerve-racking and heart racing. Not only do they know it’s bad for business but any kind of relationship between the two could destroy the begging of a very promising career. Chloe’s career. But there is no way to stop their freight train of passion and soon they are both consumed with thoughts of each other.
I was truly surprised and blown away at how much I loved this book. This book definitely belongs up on the shelf next to the Fifty Shades trilogy and the Crossfire Novels. And in my opinion better. The book ending left me happy so I’m extremely curious and excited as to know what the second book, Beautiful Stanger will be about. Either way I know I will enjoy it!

Quote
Chloe coughed slightly, bringing her napkin up from her lap to cover her mouth. I smiled as I quickly glanced over to her and then back to Joel. "Yes, it's absolutely amazing having Miss Mills under me. She always gets the job done."
***
I was terrified that this man,who was all wrong for me, had more control over my body than I did, no matter how much I tried to convince myself otherwise.
***
The raw passion between us was unlike anything I'd ever experienced...
