I don’t think I have been so excited to get my hands on a book like I was with Never Too Far in a while. I couldn’t breath and my heart was pounding as I started the continuation of Rush and Blaire’s story. I even had to read the first chapter twice to make sure I didn’t miss or misunderstand anything. And what a mind-blowing first chapter it was.
Once I calmed down enough I was in both Heaven and Hell to see Rush and Blaire again. I knew the story was going to focused on them getting back together and that was wonderful but the fact that there was still so much keeping them apart was just miserable.
Blaire is such a humble character. She has no idea what a beautiful human being she is. Kind. Forgiving. Loving. Giving. She is all these things plus a survivor of some of life’s worst tragedies. Seeing how lonely she feels all the time is so heart breaking. She deserves to be happy dam it!! She’s one of my favorite characters and I hope to see her in more books in this series.
Rush had a lot of realizing and changing to do in this book. I’m not going to lie he messed up so much in this story I don’t really understand how I could still love him. But I did and do. I’m still a little skeptical of him but I’m hoping for the best. He’s learning and trying so I give him some leeway since Blaire really truly loves him and being in a relationship is new to him. The one thing I really love about Rush it that he’s not only a hottie bad boy who’s out to bag tons of women, not any more anyway. He also cares and loves his family (as crazy as they are) and Blaire very much. He just doesn’t know how to balance the priority levels between them. I mean he’s never had a “normal” life growing up so I can understand how confusing it is for him.
In a nut shell this story rocked and I wouldn’t expect any less. Abbi is the queen of angsty love! Seriously! I have no idea how she does it but my emotions where all over the place. I think I even experienced emotions I doubt have a name.
"Damn, she drove me crazy."
"I chose to take you today because there is nothing I'd rather do than be near you. I'm driving you because I'm a desperate man who will take whatever the hell he can get when it comes to you."
"I will do anything. Anything, Blaire, just to be near you. I can't think about anything else. I can't focus on anything..."
