BLOG TOUR: TEXT MESSAGE POST from Second Chance Boyfriend by Monica Murphy

Drew + Fable #2 April 9th 2013
**Recommended for ages 17+ due to sexual content and language, mature subject matter**

Lost. That one single word best describes my life at this very moment. I lost the last games of the season and both my team and my coach blame me. I lost the last two months because I drowned in my own despair like a complete loser. And I lost the only girl who ever mattered because I was afraid being with me would destroy her.
But now I realize how truly lost I am without her. She has become my story…and even though she acts like she’s moved on, I know she still thinks about me just as much as I think about her. She’s beautiful, sweet—and so damn vulnerable, all I want to do is help her. Be there for her. Love her…
If only I could convince Fable to give me a second chance. Then I wouldn’t feel so lost anymore, and neither would she. We could be found together.

Drew + Fable from my books One Week Girlfriend and Second Chance Boyfriend communicate a lot via text messaging. I mean, come on, the majority of us communicate this way. It’s a lot quicker than making a phone call—so much easier to just dash off a quick text to let someone know you’re on the way or whatever, right?

So it makes sense to have a romance blossom via text. And that’s what happens between Drew + Fable. They even have their special code word (marshmallow) that they established in One Week Girlfriend to send to each other when they need help.

In fact, in Second Chance Boyfriend, they text all the time—they even send silly little poems to each other via text. Poems like this (and these are exclusively written for this guest post so please enjoy!):

Fable is…

Luscious and…
Easy on the eyes

That Drew. He’s rather creative isn’t he? He’s the one who writes all the romantic (and sometimes frustrating) messages using certain words. But don’t think he’s the only one who does this sort of thing. In SCB, Fable came up with her own message in a word via text to Drew. Something like this:

Drew is…

Dangerously sexy
Energetic in bed
Wonderfully protective

Ha ha. Fable always, always throws a bit of a sexy edge to her secret message texts to Drew. *winks*

In the beginning of SCB, Drew mentions a text and a voicemail Fable left him that he never answered (You can find the voicemail message here on my blog). Sigh. Sometimes Drew can be a bit of a jerk. He’s just scared and it’s hard for him to face his problems. But the love of a good woman (ahem, Fable) can change all of that for him.

What I’m wondering is…do you want to read the text Fable sent to Drew right after he disappeared on her? I’m guessing that might be a yes. So here we go…

Drew, you big jerk! How could you ignore those text messages? Thankfully, Fable is able to forgiven him for all of his mistakes, though trust me, nothing is ever easy for these two…

I hope you all enjoyed this exclusive glimpse into the text messages Drew + Fable sent each other! I know I certainly enjoyed sharing them with you!
