BLOG TOUR: THE HAZARDS OF SKINNY DIPPING by Alyssa Rose Ivy Hazards of Skinny Dipping
The Hazards of Skinny Dipping
This isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and how my life was never the same again. Oh, and it's also the story of my freshman year of college and realizing Mr. Right might have been there all along.

I had so much fun reading this book! If I wasn’t laughing or giggling I was biting my nails with worry. This is a not a heavy read but does shine some light on a very serious subject in regards to controlling and abusive relationships.
Juliet Monroe is off to college in a couple of months. In order to prepare her for life at a university her older cousin leaves her a “To Do List” to be completed during the summer before she heads to school. The last and most important item on the list is to go skinny dipping. In the process of fulfilling that challenge it just so happens that her longtime friend and the boy she has been secretly in love with for years shows up unannounced. One thing leads to another and suddenly Juliet seems to be living her dream by hooking up with Dylan. There’s just one little problem and it was their first time so it can’t be that bad the every single time right??
Reed Bryce is tall, buff, handsome and somewhat of a mystery. From the first time Reed meets Juliet there is an instant connection. As they keep running into each other more often and spending time together he becomes someone she can depend on. He tries to keep his distance but because he sees a hauntingly resemblance between Juliet and Dylan’s and his sisters to her husband relationship keeping his distance get harder every single day.
This book just shows you that most likely your fantasy boyfriend is just that and really is not so fantastic and that you never know how or when you will meet your perfect match. I think The Hazard of Skinny Dipping is different, fun, steamy and heartwarming. This was one of my most enjoyable reads this year!

  1. This book looks amazing. I been wanting to read this book since I saw it on goodreads!

  2. Honestly? I want to read it because the cover is smooooking HOT. I know, I know, it's wrong but I totally dig book covers. I never read the synopsis or reviews until after I've read the book, so the cover has to appeal to me.
