But, Hunter has scars and memories too—scars that make him believe falling in love might hurt too much, scars that make him run.

My POV

Carry Your Heart is devastatingly beautiful. This story is emotional and tragic. In some scenes I found it very difficult to breath and broke down in other. Death is such a hard thing to deal with and for it to happen to someone so close to you is almost paralyzing.

Philippa Baker “Pippa” was a 19 year old contender for the Olympic Ski Team. She has been through one of the most traumatic experience anyone can go through. Caught in an avalanche with her boyfriend Danny and his best friend Ryan has changed her life enormously. She is the only survivor and has no plan on ever going back to skiing after a whole year off but her coach never gives up his pursuit in bringing her back. In order to get him off her back she finally gives in not really expecting to win any medals but just hoping she can gets through this one competition. Not only was she NOT expecting to place with in the top 10 but she certainly didn’t plan on the ever falling for anyone other than Danny.

Hunter Dawson is one sexy dare devil. Snowboarding is his game and having fun is his thing. He has mood swings that will but a PMSing woman to shame and people usually describe him as being a jerk or an asshole. But the thing is, no one really knows Hunter or about his dark past.  Taking a small break from his life he ends up on the same flight and hotel as Pippa. One thing leads to another and he’s in unfamiliar territory with Pippa.

This book has a lot going for it but I felt that I couldn’t give this book above a three heart rating only because of many little grammar errors. It slowed my pace and at times left me a bit confused as to what the author was trying to convey.  But through all that I really fell in love the characters and felt compassionate about the story. If there is another book I will make sure to put it on my TBR list. This is a worthwhile read!
