BLOG TOUR: My POV of Jet by Jay Crownover

Title: Jet (A Marked Men Novel #2)
Author:  Jay Crownover
Genre: New Adult
Publication Date:  May 28, 2013
Event organized by: Literati Literature Lovers   http://literatiliteraturelovers.com

With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.

Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.

Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?

There is something about Jay Crownover’s Marked Men that has me addicted. I don’t think it’s just one thing. It’s so many things and I just can’t get enough.
The fact that many people still have the preconceptions about tattooed men and woman makes this an interesting series to me. I mean now a days there are plenty of people with tattoos but it seem that the taboo is still there.
I for one think tattoos and piercings are hot! Now, don’t get me wrong.. I’m not talking about the Guinness Book of World Records tattooed and pierced contenders but when done right, tattoos and body jewelry can be such a turn on.
I think it’s the dare to be different and rebellious attitude that is sexy as hell. Well that is what these men are all about. They may look a little intimidating but they are real men with real live issues like anyone else and that is what makes them so appealing. Oh and It doesn’t hurt that they all have swagger and sexy-as-hell bodies.
Jet is a local rock god who refuses to go big time because he knows what that may bring. He’s built a good life for himself because of his passion to make music not only for his band but for others as well. He is a good enough and smart enough musician to do what others want him to do (go big time) but he is content with where his band is. Focusing on his music and having a good time is how he lives his life. The one thing he never planned on doing is to take a relationship with any girl seriously or even considered it until Ayden came along.
Ayden has a plan. She is determine to keep her past, in the past and focused on finishing college in order to have a good stable career. Changing her entire life once she left her home town is just what she needed to do in order to make something out of herself. Being attracted to Jet was not in her plans for a stable future. But you can’t help who you love and she can no longer keep up the act she has put on for everyone.
Jet and Ayd’s story is such an emotional ride. From them fighting their attraction to each other to dealing with family issues and past mistakes it took a toll on my heart. I was holding on to so much hope and praying that they could work out all their issues. But as things went on and their relationship seem to fall apart when things should be getting better they had one or two things working for them. Love and passion. And no one should give up on that, at least I hope they wouldn’t.
One more down and I hope lots more to go. The Marked Men series is one I love desperately and know I won’t get enough of. I can’t wait to read Rome’s story. It’s going to be so much fun!

"..don't give me that bull about just being friends. I have guy friends. In fact, I have more guy friends than I do girlfriends and I don not look at a single one of them like I want to have hair-pulling, bite mark-leaving, bed-breaking-sex with them. When you look at him when he's not paying attention, Ayd" -she made a big production of fanning herself down with the towel she reclaimed-"I feel like I need a cold shower."

Other Books in the Series

Note:  UK and Australia:  Jet’s release date has been moved to June 20th.

Jay Crownover is the bestselling author of Rule. Like the characters in her Marked Men series, she is a big fan of tattoos. She loves music and wishes she could be a rock star, but since she has no aptitude for singing or instrument playing, she'll settle for writing stories with interesting characters and that make the reader feel something. She lives in Colorado with her three dogs.

  1. This is one of those books you can't put down but must simply because you want to draw it out as long as possible. Thank God at the end I found there is going to be another Marked Men novel! I will pre-order that one too!
