BLOG TOUR: My POV of Stolen Nights by Rebecca Maizel

Stolen Nights (Vampire Queen, #2)
Paperback, 303 pages
Expected publication: January 29th 2013 by St. Martin's Griffin
Lenah Beaudonte should be dead. But having sacrificed herself to save another, she finds herself awakening with strange powers that are neither vampire nor human—and a new enemy on her trail. In her vampire life, Lenah had thought that being human was all she ever wanted; but the human heart suffers pain, heartbreak and loss.

With her new powers growing and the dark force of the Nex after her soul, Lenah faces a choice: between the mortal love of gorgeous Justin, whose passion fed her human soul, and taking a different path to become the mistress of her own destiny, wherever that may lead.

There are only so many ways to really express how deeply you feel about a story. With this book I was bursting with emotion from beginning to end. This is not your ordinary vampire story full of only seduction and blood lust. It’s also an epic love tale that will beat the test of time and space.

The love story between Rhode and Lenah is so powerful, so deeply moving, so overwhelmingly beautiful. Just thinking about it makes tears come to my eyes. As you can tell this was a very sentimental read for me. I’m a sucker for a good love story!

Following the very dramatic ending in Infinite Days Vicken is now human and once again Lenah’s devoted companion. But there relationship is quite different. They no longer have romantic feelings for each other but still have a very strong bond. Friendship.

As Lenah tries to settle back into school she soon finds that a new coven is after the ritual which will convert a vampire back into a human, a ritual that only Rhode, Lenah, and Suleen know how to perform. The leader of this new coven is a familiar face from Lenah’s past, one that had never been a threat but now a force not to be ignored.

In this book more friends are dying. More spells preformed. New friends are found. The Hollow Ones are revealed and the Aeris explain that there are consequences for using such powerful elemental magic.

The ending was so moving, so soul shattering it took my breath away. I have read Rhodes letter about ten times and the knot in my stomach never eased up one bit. The decision Lenah makes is monumental in the journey of her and Rhodes life. It left me speechless!

Now that I’m broken hearted and practically catatonic (haha! JK) I will fill my days of reading other stories and comparing them to this one. I say good luck to those who cross my path!  You have big shoes to fill. I beg that they area  as wonderful and epic as this one.

"Always, always my thoughts were with you,"
Anam Cara. A soul friend. When one finds her Anam Cara, the connection is undeniable. Unyielding. It is a white string of light connecting two souls through space and time. Some believe the Anam Cara share a  mind. A mind of a past so deep, so interconnected, that they can share thoughts."
"You," I whispered,"are worth every moment I have left on this earth. Even if I have to love you from afar for the rest of my days."

COVER REVEAL: Kiss of Fire by Rebecca Ethington

Joclyn Despain has a scar. In fact, it is almost like a brand on her skin. She doesn’t know why it appeared on her neck, but she doesn’t want anyone to see it, including her best friend Ryland, who knows everything else about her. The scar is the reason she hides herself behind baggy clothes, and won’t let the idea of kissing Ryland enter her mind, no matter how much she wants to.

The scar is the reason she is being hunted.

If only she knew that she was.

If only she had known that the cursed stone her estranged father sent for her 16th birthday would trigger a change in her. Now, she is being stalked by a tall blonde man, and is miraculously throwing her high school bully ten feet in the air.

Joclyn attempts to find some answers and the courage to follow her heart. When Ryland finds her scar; but he knows what it means, and who will kill her because of it.

The scorching tale of one girl, two brothers and a love triangle…that’s not.

Olivia Townsend is nothing special. She’s just a girl working her way through college so she can return home to help her father run his business. She’s determined not to be the second woman in his life to abandon him, even if it means putting her own life on hold. To Olivia, it’s clear what she must do. Plain and simple. Black and white. But clear becomes complicated when she meets Cash and Nash Davenport. They’re brothers. Twins.

Cash is everything she’s always wanted in a guy. He’s a dangerous, sexy bad boy who wants her in his bed at any cost. He turns her insides to mush and, with just one kiss, makes her forget why he’s no good for her. Nash is everything she’s ever needed in a guy. He’s successful, responsible and intensely passionate. But he’s taken. Very taken, by none other than Marissa, Liv’s rich, beautiful cousin. That doesn’t stop Olivia from melting every time he looks at her, though. With just one touch, he makes her forget why they can never be together.

Black and white turns to shades of gray when Olivia discovers the boys are hiding something, something that should make her run as far and as fast as she can. But it’s too late to run. Olivia’s already involved. And in love. With both of them. Both brothers make her heart tremble. Both brothers set her body on fire. She wants them both. And they want her. How will she ever choose between them?

What a beginning!! *Fans self* There was no turning back after the first chapter of this book. It was so hot (and totally mortifying for Liv). I think this was one of the most entertaining openings for a book I’ve read. I was grinning ear to ear.

The main story revolves around Liv, Cash and Nash. Twin Brothers. One a bad boy the other not as bad (wink, wink). Nash is responsible, respectable, and an intern at a law firm. Cash is a bar owning, reckless, hottie. It’s the best of both worlds.  How could I blame Liv for having a hard time choosing?  The attraction for both of these men for Liv is the same but different..haha Let me explain. It’s like this. She can feel a deep connection with both of these men but loves different things about each. And like any good love story there are many obstacles to overcome to find your right match.

There are so many interesting things going on in this story and boy does it keep you glued to the pages. My emotions were all over the place but through it all I just wanted to see Liv happy. She deserved to be. There is a lot of inter turmoil for her with the attraction for both of the brothers, then guilt, happiness, insecurities, lust. It was all heart racing to read.

I had so many different scenarios running through my mind in the begging as thing didn’t quite add up but before the end I figured it out. It was still a bit of a shocker once confirmed but made total sense. It was all interesting to say the least and I will be picking up the next book ASAP. The epilogue has my mind going again and I don’t have a good feeling about this. I’m nervous for Liv. Once again!

"It's not that simple. For one thing, I'm not that kind of person."
Shawna drops her fork and looks angrily at me. "And what kind is that, exactly? The kind that goes after what she wants? The kind that makes life happen for her? The kind that does everything she can to find happiness? Oh, no. You're not that kind at all. You're the martyr. You're the one who's gonna let life pass her by because she won't take risks anymore."

UP TO ME (The Bad Boys, #2):

Released: January 4, 2013

Happily ever after doesn’t come easy.  But for love, it’s always worth the fight.

Olivia finds bliss unlike any she’s ever known in Cash’s arms.  He sets her skin on fire and melts her heart right inside her chest.  Unfortunately, their happily ever after is short-lived when a shadow from Cash’s past threatens to turn their world upside down.
Dangerous people from his father’s world have discovered that Cash holds information that could put them away for a very long time.  And they’re willing to do anything—and hurt anybody—to get it back.  Giving it up means Cash must choose between the life of his father and the life of Olivia.

Having nearly overcome her wariness of bad boys, Olivia’s trust is shaken when this new threat arises.  Now she finds that Cash is not only a danger to her heart, but his family has associations that are a danger to her life as well.  She soon discovers that there are some situations in life where trust is a girl’s only option.  And this is one of them.  If she’s to live, she must trust Cash with her life.  But to Olivia, that’s much, much easier than letting go and trusting him with her heart.

BLOG TOUR: Tidal by Emily Snow

Published December 14th 2012 (first published December 12th 2012)
 *New Adult Romance*

Now that Willow Avery is out of rehab, she's got one chance left to prove herself before she’s officially on every producer’s shit list. At least, that's what her parents and agent are claiming. She doesn't really give a damn if she never makes another movie or not—she just wants to get on with her life, get back to her friends, and find her next escape. But Willow is broke. And whether she likes it or not, acting is the only job she knows how to do.

When she accepts the lead in a beach drama, Willow finds herself in Hawaii. And in Hawaii, she finds Cooper, the gorgeous surfer hired to train her for her new role. With the bluest eyes she’s ever seen and the sexiest Australian accent she’s ever heard, Cooper’s different from the men she’s used to. He doesn’t want to use her. And he refuses to let her fail. But when an old friend re-enters Willow’s life—a friend whose toxicity she’s been drawn to time and time before and whose presence brings about the painful memories she's tried so hard to suppress—Willow will have to choose between the girl she was and the person she’s becoming. The lifestyle that helps her forget the pain and the guy she’s falling hard for.--Goodreads

There is something about such a tragic life that captivates me. I love stories with earth shattering secrets and an unbreakable bond between two lovers. This story has this and so much more.
Brittany “Willow Avery” has been an actress most of her young adult life. Living such a public life has had major catastrophic effects on her. Not being able to deal with everything that has happen to her she turns to a life of distractions and drugs. Partying hard and living it up with all the wrong people with the worst intentions she ends up in rehab not once but twice. But her problems run much deeper than just the pressures of Hollywood.  This is what the public doesn’t know and her parents what to keep it that way.
Without her knowledge Willow is scheduled to film a remake of a movie called Tidal. Her first meeting with the producer takes place moments after stepping foot out of rehab.  This is where she meets s the incorrigible Cooper Taylor for the first time. He’s her suffer coach for the movie. He’s hot. He’s talented. He’s the best. And he dam well knows it.
The thing with these two is that there is more than meets the eye. So much more! Their issues and sorrows are soul deep.  As thing unfold you begin to understand why they behave the way they do. The question is.. with all the secrets and issues between them, will a relationship really ever work out for them?
I was glued to these pages. I couldn’t get enough, fast enough. It was a great story the whole way through. I cried at the end of this book. Whether they were happy tears or sad tears I want you to figure that out on your own. But just know that I will stock Emily Snow until I get another book about Willow. I have to see where this goes. This story is just too good to end here!

"You're not going to argue with me?" he asked and I glared at him, evoking a grin that made me want to run my lips across the dimple in his left cheek. "God, I love when you come undone, Wills."
"You're filiming the remake of the" -She coughed-"Hilary Norton movie, right?"...
"Yes, I'm her- I mean, I'm playing the character she played."
"You're crying."
"Yes," I said. "Because it's...a good day. The best day, actually."
